25. Curly Bear:

Sesame Street Characters Curly Bear

She first appeared on Sesame Street in the 34th season. She's Baby Bear's sister. Curly Bear is different from the other bears in the family because he doesn't like porridge. She's easily one of the cutest characters on Sesame Street.

24. Dorothy:

Sesame Street Characters Dorothy

Dorothy isn't technically a Muppet character. But she should've been on this list. We know her from the Elmo's World series. Dorothy's got a great imagination, and she can picture Elmo as a whole different character every time. He's a great talent.

23. Baby Bear:

Sesame Street Characters Baby Bear

Baby Bear made an appearance on Sesame Street back in the 90s. This cute bear has a hard time saying the R sound. He's an art-loving bear and Curly Bear's older brother, and he made this list.

22. Prairie Dawn:

Sesame Street Characters Prairie Dawn

Prairie Dawn is one of the oldest characters on the show. She's been on Sesame Street since Season 2. Luckily for her, the Muppets don't age. Prairie Dawn wrote and directed plays for her classmates in the classic Sesame Street episodes. In the "Letter of the Day" episodes in seasons 33 and 35, she tried to stop Cookie Monster from eating the letter of the day. Did she succeed? Absolutely not.

21. Rocco:

Sesame Street Characters Rocco

Rocco is a rock. That's a bit too strong, isn't it? He's Zoe's favorite rock. Zoe believes that Rocco talks and lives. That's why Elmo often tells Zoe that she's just a rock. In one episode, Cookie Monster almost ate him. Hey, Rocco, be careful!

20. Rudy:

Sesame Street Characters Rudy

Rudy is an adorable orange monster with little horns. He's Abby Cadabby's stepbrother. He first appeared in season 47. The episode is called "Hello Rudy" and it's the first one we know about him.

19. Two-Headed Monster:

Sesame Street Characters Two-Headed Monster

What would it be like if you had two heads? "We've got to go right." "No, you idiot, we're going left." The two-headed monster usually appears behind a wall. It's because the people performing it are in a bit of a tough spot. The Two-Headed Monster often shows what words mean.

18. Julia:

Sesame Street Characters Julia

There's no doubt that Julia is one of the most meaningful characters on Sesame Street. She's a close friend of Elmo and Abby, and she has autism. She shows us that autism isn't a disease; it's just a little difference. Julia makes her first appearance in episode 4715, "Meet Julia," and she has a toy bunny that she loves very much. You're awesome, Julia, and we've got your back!

17. Rosita:

Sesame Street Characters Rosita

Hola :). Rosita is a turquoise monster who came to us from Mexico. Rosita, who also speaks English, is a character from Sesame Street who taught us Spanish and made us love Spanish. She presents the Spanish word of the day. She loves to play the guitar. Rosita's Abuela is another popular character.

16. Rubber Duckie:

Sesame Street Characters Rubber Duckie

Rubber Duckie is Ernie's pet duck. He's a common theme in Ernie's songs. It's not just a toy, it's a friend. But not as close a friend as Bert. "Oh, rubber ducky, you are the one. "You make bath time lots of fun." :)

15. Mr. Snuffleupagus:

Sesame Street Characters Mr. Snuffleupagus

His friends call him Snuffy. He joined the cast of characters in Season 3 of Sesame Street. He's pretty friendly with Big Bird. In the early seasons of the show, the human characters know him as the imaginary Muppet of Big Bird's dreams. He meets adults for the first time in season 17, and it turns out that Snuffy wasn't a dream. He's played by two puppeteers because of his huge body. I'm glad you're with us, big friend!

14. Telly Monster:

Sesame Street Characters Telly Monster

His name comes from the word for television. He was originally conceived as a monster hooked on TV. But it turned out to be a mistake from an educational standpoint, so they ended up changing the character. Telly gained popularity when Big Bird actor Caroll Spinney injured her foot and Big Bird was out of the show during this time. Telly Monster is a Muppet who's into triangles and sometimes feels insecure and anxious. He's got a hamster named Chuckie Sue. And Telly's excited mood is very likeable!

13. Murray Monster:

Sesame Street Characters Murray Monster

They first called Murray the "Orange Monster" on the show. He was the host of the "What's the Word on the Street" segment. He took part in the "Murray Has a Little Lamb" segment with their lamb, Ovejita. After the format changed in 2015, he left the regular Muppet cast of the series. We miss you, Murray. Maybe one day you'll join us again.

12. Zoe:

Sesame Street Characters Zoe

Zoe, another orange monster from Sesame Street, has been in the cast since season 25. Zoe is into ballet and dancing, and she sometimes wears a tutu. She's got this imaginary friendship with her rock, Rocco. She's the poster child for preschool girls who love to dance and move.

You're running out of time!" , "The Big Trip" , "Estimation Vacation" , "The Waiting Game" , "Make it Fit" , "What's My Job?" ...etc. It's really a pleasure to watch your shows, Guy!

10. Count von Count:

Sesame Street Characters Count von Count

Usually, we're all afraid of vampires. This vampire is so cute, though, and it's totally changed how we see vampires. Count von Count, also known as The Count, was added to the series in season 4. No, he doesn't want blood, he just wants to count things all the time. Counting has become a bit of an obsession for him. They don't actually say on Sesame Street that he's a vampire. He's also different from the vampires we know because he loves sunlight. I'm sure we can all agree that no one wants the Count to disappear into thin air.

9. Abby Cadabby:

Sesame Street Characters Abby Cadabby

Abby Cadabby was added to the show in the 37th season. Her name comes from the word "abracadabra" used to perform magic. She got her start with shows like "Abby's Flying Fairy School" and "Abby's Amazing Adventures." Sometimes her spells caused problems, and she had to fight to fix everything. Some fans say that Abby is Elmo's girlfriend. Abracadabra, Hocus Pocus, zippity-zap!

8. Grover:

Sesame Street Characters Grover

Grover's another classic Sesame Street character, and he's been around since 1970. Grover has a multifaceted personality: Waiter Grover, Super Grover, Global Grover, Marshal Grover... Grover and Kermit were very close friends when Kermit was cast. Kids love him because he's got a great imagination and he's always helping people.

7. Bert:

Sesame Street Characters Bert

He's definitely one of the most serious characters on the show. Ernie is his best friend. Bert's got a pretty serious side. Ernie, on the other hand, is his polar opposite. He's playful and always looking for fun. The tension between these two characters leads to some pretty funny situations. His favorite motto is: Life is tough with Ernie, but even tougher without him.

6. Ernie:

Sesame Street Characters Ernie

He's definitely one of the most entertaining and humorous characters on the show. Ernie is Bert's best friend and roommate. When Bert's busy, Ernie's always trying to seduce him. When Bert wants to sleep, he doesn't put him to sleep, but Ernie does. You know, sometimes we like to gently tease a dear friend. That's what Ernie's behavior is showing. Ernie also likes Rubber Duckie and sings songs for him.

5. Oscar the Grouch:

Sesame Street Characters Oscar the Grouch

The best word to describe him is extraordinary. Oscar the Grouch lives in a garbage can and never complains because he loves garbage. As you can probably guess from his name, he's a bit of a grump. He and Grundgetta the Grouch got engaged, but broke it off because they were afraid of being happy. Oscar also says he's not a fan of Telly and Elmo. He's like a grumpy old man, and it's impossible to please him!

4. Big Bird:

Sesame Street Characters Big Bird

Big Bird is a big yellow bird. He's been in the show since the very first episode. He's usually a misunderstood Muppet. But he's not one to complain. He's at peace with himself and accepts himself for who he is. She's definitely a good role model for kids! His creator, Jim Henson, passed away in 1990.

3. Cookie Monster:

Sesame Street Characters Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster is the character of the street who's always hungry. He loves cookies, but he's not a one-food guy. He's eaten letters, numbers, and even tried to eat a rock. He's quite the chatterbox when he's eating. At the beginning of the series, his name was Alistair Cookie. Cookie Monster is one of the most popular characters on Sesame Street. But it would be better if he ate a little healthier.

2. Kermit the Frog:

Sesame Street Characters Kermit the Frog

Kermit the Frog is one of the old Muppet characters from the series. He was the host of the Sesame Street News Flash. He sang the classic song "Being Green." Sesame Street didn't own all the rights. So he didn't end up living on the street. But we had to add the old friend to this list.

1. Elmo:

Sesame Street Characters elmo

He's number one on the list. Elmo is the most popular Muppet character on the show, at least when he speaks in the third person. Kevin Clash contributed a lot to his popularity. After Clash, Ryan Dillon picked up right where he left off. Elmo even has a show called "The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo," which he currently hosts himself. The "Elmo's World" series is still a big deal for kids, with both the old and new versions. He also starred in Elmo the Musical. It's hard to see how he fits into this list, given how popular he is. After all, you all know him well.
